    Today, we did the activity, in which we write the circle in a squared place, and draw a line to cover all nine circles. By doing this, I learned that people tend to suppress their own creativity by themselves. I thought this is because mainly in Japan, people make fools of "not normal" ideas. 

    I was the one that I couldn't share my idea, and I realized that placing the circles irregularly on the four sidelines of the square when we are made to think of the four lines, but I could not raise my hands up because I was scared to share my unusual idea.

    I thought, there are many people having creativity, but the environment of the society is completely erasing their chance to share it, which is a very important thing for people to return the creativity to some kind of achievements. 

2th February 2022

    Today, we did the marshmallow challenge with friends. It was very interesting. We are unconsciously making up a new rule, and maybe this is because we are always being tied up by rules. I learned that this tendency in society may vanish people's creativity, and I was a little bit scared about it. 

    Mr. Paterson said that it is very important to make many prototypes in a limited time. I learned that to make many prototypes, we need to keep the pasta in a shape that would be easy to make shapes. For example, our team broke our pasta into a quarter size, which made us difficult to change the form when we realized that our idea do not work properly. 

    To be honest, I even never thought of things such as asking for more pasta or researching it on google. I may think that this is because I am caring about what people would think about me "cheating".  I thought this is very interesting because the teammates should be the people who corporates and get more ideas to win in the game, but as a result, these teammates is being the people who are suppressing one's creativity.

In Japan, there are many dialects, which could be in the same position as English accents. First, I did not know that America also has a variety of accents between the states, so I was surprised about that. 

For the discussion about which of the accents are the most trustful, I thought that how is it trustful does not relate much, but the scene that we use changes a lot. For example, the newscasters on the TV uses the Tokyo accent, and we often prefer the Tokyo accent on the formal scenes. However, Osaka and the other accents have an image that is approachable. It is useful in communication with close persons. I thought the prefered accent are the differences between the scene. 

16th November 2021

 By watching the movie, I thought companies are an organization that is strongly related to our lives. The corporation is able to influence us in either a bad way or a good way.  By watching the video through the second term class, I got to know about the corporation. There were thousands of facts and information that I did not know, so the image to the corporation changed. 

Answering the question that would I take an action after watching this 4-hour movie, I would say no. I got to learn many things about the corporation but actually, I am thinking about it in other personal, and think that it is not related to myself. I can not feel that the problem is related to our lives, and the video clip did not have an element to agitate the sense of crisis to us. 

In conclusion, I got to think about the corporation by watching the movie, but it did not make me take some action.

 Today, by watching the video, we talked about advertisements for the product. 

For my reaction to the topic about the advertisements for the children, I thought it is not that bad. Children should also have enough information about the things they want, and nagging is also an important part to earn money and let the economy turns. 

For the topic about the walking advertisements, I thought consumers also have a profit, as the company does. The brand is a status for people. Wearing high brand clothes, having a high brand bag, and using a computer with an apple mark, is a status for all of us. That's why people wear clothes that there are huge logos on, as a fashion. So, I think the companies are clever, but I would never think this is not a good thing to do.

     In today's class, we watched the continuing part of the video. It was very interesting for me. 

    The thing that I thought was that, in reality,  the rich person has bigger power than us, to change the environment to either bad way, or good way. However, it cost a lot to think about the environment, so almost all rich person chooses to earn more money, which means to destroy the environment. Of course, it is possible for normal people like us to make some changes, but it is also true that it is easy and efficient for the rich CEOs to make the big change in the world, rather than us saving water and power, buying organic vegetables, and reduce fuels. Many people would say accumulating a small stack of actions would lead to a huge result, but one rich people changing the objective of the company, to which that focus on the environment. 

    So, the easiest way to make the leaders of the company think of the environment, we as the consumers should make the common sense of the society that the company which focuses on the environment can earn money more than the company that does not. 

    Also, I had a big impact on the word that the man said in the video that the one as the executive and the one as one of the human differs. However, I thought it is not correct to think of these two as a different things. I could understand what are they wanted to say, but I would like to strongly oppose to that opinion. It is true that they did something terrible, even he did that as one manager who thinks about earning money in the capitalist economy. 

    I am looking forward to watching more videos.

Today, we watched the continuation of the video clip. As I thought on Tuesday, the video was very interesting, that gave me chance to review the consciousness of the lives. 

First, the word that was impressive to me is that the word that questioned, the difference between killing people with guns, and spreading chemicals to people and letting them die. I thought there are thousands of people that are killing millions of people in an indirect way, and never be punished. It is completely unfair and mistaken.

Also, I thought that the reason why the company only thinks about their profits, not the environment is that the consumers do not prior the environment. If the consumer has enough resistance to the pollution, they would never choose the company that contributes to the pollution. 

When we were told to research the company of the items surrounding us, I researched for GU, the fast-fashion brand that I wear often. However, even though we got to know all of the factories, it is difficult for people to know the reality of the company only with the information of the name and the location of the factory. Maybe, this would be called as one of the CSR that GU is doing. 

Watching these sorts of videos in class makes me have a wider perspective, and learn many things. I really like the class like this.
