Reflection of the presentation

I was very confident about presenting this term, compared to the previous presentation. It could have many reasons, such as being able to have time to listen to each other's presence in small groups and got advice, and I made enough time to practice the presentation. In reality, I am very happy with my presentation, even though I had plenty of improvement points about my actual skill of the presentation, and about my slide.

The first point is that I did not do much eye contact. When I watched the video of my presentation, I realized that I was not having eye contact with the audience, and keep looking at the slide. I was not aware that I am looking at the side during the presentation, and I forgot to be conscious about having eye contact when I was practicing the presentation. So, in the actual presentation, I unconsciously looked at the slide, instead of the audience. If I could have a chance to do the presentation again, I would practice having eye contact with the audience, without looking at the slide.

The second point is that I kept saying "umm..." during my presentation. When I looked at the video, I always said umm in each time I change the slide. This could annoy the audience, as I was annoyed when I was watching my video. I was also saying "umm" in the previous presentation, and this never improves. This could be because I spoke too fast, and to fill in the time, I keep using “umm”. So, I would like to be conscious about talking slower on the presentation.

The second point is that in my slide, I pasted a photo that matches the point that I want to say, but I did not write the keyword of my point, so it made the audience difficult to understand my point. There were many slides that I only pasted photos with no words, so maybe, I made the slide too simple.

There were many points that I need to enhance for my presentation, such as having eye contact, stop saying “umm..”, talk slower, and put keywords on my slide, not only the picture. However, I assert that my presentation got better compared to the one from the last year, so I am very happy about it. I would like to improve my presentation more and gain my presentation skills.
